Today We Were Burger Shocked But Will You Be?

Today was an interesting day and in the local community burger eating has become interesting as many have been forced to grab to go for some time…but burger eating takes a toll; but none like we did this year.

Today while traveling on Kaliste Saloom Rd a quick look to the left made me realize that a new burger-spot had opened but I have to admit I just wanted something quick and had no idea what to expect after new construction spot Dairy Queen is now finally allowing customers inside. (located at 2121 Kaliste Saloom Rd, Lafayette, LA 70508)

I ordered just a number 1 combo (The Bacon Cheese Grill Burger) ‘because I enjoy bacon on many burgers’ and took a seat. Waited briefly for just a second and had the combo delivered to me. When opening the paper I was quite shocked to view this burger which by opinion did not have a fast-food style to it.

I have eaten at many Dairy Queen’s and have to admit many times I do try them to see if any have consistency. I even shared this view with my burger companion today ‘Dana’ sharing with her memories of when there was a Dairy Queen on the corner of University & Pinhook Rd. many years ago. I felt many couldn’t touch their taste but today this DQ made me do something I never do. Let others know about a fast-food taste that shocked me. Thank you to the staff because a great staff is truly the reason for burger greatness!
